SmartMLS - Social Media Manager

Find us on Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn

Over 80% of the content posted on our Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn pages (for SmartMLS and its community-giving arm SmartMLS Cares) is created by me. Through this content, I have generated 150.5K+ impressions and 14.3K+ engagements, with a 9.5% engagement rate in the 4 months I’ve been in this role. As the creative, strategist, videographer, editor, manager, and face all wrapped into one, I have grown our audience immensely (gaining almost 1K followers on Instagram in 12 weeks).

I have also started our SmartMLS Cares branch on Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube, in which I film and edit (via Premiere Pro) long-form video interviews to raise awareness for causes important to SmartMLS subscribers.

One of 489 multiple listing services in the country, SmartMLS’ content performs significantly better than top MLSes, which on average rarely get over 20 likes per post in the past year.

Jonathan Law Drama Club - President & Social Media Manager

@jlhs.dramaclub on Instagram and TikTok

I started a TikTok account for my high school’s drama club and posted every day from February to May 2022. Over that period of 87 days, the account grew to having 3K+ followers, with a total amount of 315K+ likes. I also created 8 promotional videos for 6 productions during my time there.

One of my strengths lies in catering to my target audience. Whether it be to real estate agents, theatre kids or prospective, current, and past students looking to learn about Fordham, I aim to create content that is most appealing to the audience I’m trying to attract. My strategy is to create content that does not seem like an advertisement, so the audience is more likely to interact with it. Even though I’m always marketing something, I don’t want my audience to notice and it deter them from engaging with the post, boosting publicity, buying a product, or attending an event.
